Our MissionMusicopolis brings people together in a collaborative and fun organizational environment to cultivate a passion for music within our communities, to facilitate lifelong growth for individuals, and to foster social cohesion generally. We do this by enabling the various members of our community to participate in and benefit from our high-quality music education programs, musical performances, social and professional services, and research activities. Our Musical ValuesAt Musicopolis we believe that artistic creation and expression are not just pleasant adornments to life, but essential to the full actualization of life itself. As a unique form of human expression, music plays an important part in enabling each of us to explore and develop our human potential over the entire course of our lives - from our earliest years, into childhood and adolescence, and throughout adulthood. Pursuing high musical standards with a broad appreciation of the world's musical diversity imparts genuine depth and scope to this lifelong journey of personal growth. We also believe that musical collaboration represents a vital process for integrating our individual creative and aesthetic development into the fabric of our communities, thus contributing to a humane and solidary society. Considering music's crucial role in our path to individual and collective fulfillment, we regard access to music education and opportunities for musical self-expression as fundamental human rights. Our Organizational ValuesMusicopolis is deeply committed to our core organizational values of personal and professional integrity, respect for the individual, inclusive collaboration, and long-term sustainability. These core commitments guide everything we do, including the design of our educational programs, our organization of performances and events, our social service projects, and our administrative policies and processes. |
